Our greatest challenge continues to be construction funding:

  • For the completion of the Bella Vista Bypass in Northwest AR

  • For a bridge over the Arkansas River between Van Buren and Barling, AR

  • For the 150-mile segment between Fort Smith and Texarkana, AR

  • For I-49 South (the Coastal Connection, also known as America’s Energy Corridor) from

  • New Orleans to Lafayette, LA. This conversion of US 90 to I-49 will provide an additional hurricane evacuation route for the Louisiana gulf coast, as well as enhancing economic development for the Port of New Orleans and other ports and cities along the route.
